We can't believe that it is only 3 days until our hike! Thank you all for the overwhelming support we have received these past few months! We have a few updates/announcements we would like to share with everyone:
1. After long discussion with our parents, our new goal is to hike all trails (34 miles) in under 27 hours. This is due to the sparse daylight and the unpredictability of weather. Our parents, rightfully so, did not want us hiking in the dark. Although 27 hours was not our original plan, it further reminds us of the 27 million victims of human trafficking we are hiking for. And, who knows, we might still make it in under 24 hours! Anyway, we plan to hike it again, with our original plan, sometime during this upcoming summer. This will give us an opportunity to raise more awareness of human trafficking and funds for efforts to mitigate the industry!
2. If you are interested in hiking any of LeConte27 with us please contact me at wtdrake0717@gmail.com! I will send you our schedule. If you are unable to hike with us at the times we are, we still encourage you to hike LeConte that day do raise awareness for the 27 million victims of human trafficking. And we might even run into each other! However, if you plan on hiking with us on Sunday, don't eat too much on Christmas! (;
